What is lite.computer?

A Mac app that turns a folder of pages into a library you can actually use. Your AI writes HTML pages into a folder; lite.computer shows them as a browsable set — a gallery of thumbnails, a reader, search, and the links between them — and keeps up live as new pages arrive.

Your folders come with you. The sidebar shows your folder tree exactly as you built it, so you find a page by remembering where you put it — the thing you lose the moment HTML pages go into a browser tab or a local web server.

What is a Showspace?

A Showspace is one folder, plus what the app remembers about it — which pages are in it, its colors, the tabs you had open. It is the thing you open, switch between and give a name.

You can have as many as you like: one for a client, one for the business, one for yourself. Each keeps its own look, and the switcher at the top of the sidebar moves between them. A folder inside a Showspace is just a filter — click it and the view narrows to that folder.

Why should I use lite.computer?

Because the work your AI does for you is worth keeping.

A page you can come back to, link to, put on a screen and hand to someone is worth far more than the same words in a chat you would have to go hunting for. lite.computer gives that work somewhere to live, and gives you a way to walk around it — including across every display on your desk at once.

It also makes it easy to come back to work you have already done. That matters most for the things that keep changing — dashboards, news digests, financial summaries, calendars, reports. You ask for an update and the page you already know is the page that updates.

What do I use it for?

Anything you would rather look at than scroll through, and come back to later. Some common use cases are:

• A progress report you can comment on, and have your AI revise next session.
• A dashboard that stays current, because a script on a schedule keeps rewriting it from the numbers underneath.
• A brand guide in one place every model you use can read before it writes.
• A website concept staged as real, clickable pages instead of flat mockups.
• Presentations that run full screen from the same folder.
• A long document laid out to actually be read.
• A live sign on a spare screen that updates itself.
• Customer records, a catalog or an inventory turned from spreadsheet rows into a page you will actually open — and kept current straight from the spreadsheet.

What are the main features?

• Your folder tree, kept as you built it. The sidebar holds your own folders and pages in your own order, so you navigate by memory rather than by searching. Open the same pages through a browser or a local web server and you get a flat list of filenames and nothing else.
• It watches the folder. Pages appear as your AI writes them. Nothing to refresh, nothing to import.
• Gallery View shows every page as a thumbnail of itself, for finding the one you would recognize but could not name.
• Explode puts every open tab in its own window across every display you have — a desk of monitors becomes a wall of live dashboards.
• Presentation Mode takes a page full screen and steps through it, so any page is a deck.
• Comments let you mark up a page and have your agent read your notes and fix it.
• Your AI can drive it — nineteen commands, from opening a page to arranging your screens.
• Showspace health tells you what is broken across the whole folder.
• It stays yours. Ordinary HTML in an ordinary folder, opening in any browser, for as long as you keep it.

What AI models can I use with lite.computer?

Almost certainly the one you already use. The rule is simple: any AI that can read, save and modify files can work with lite.computer — Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, Grok, and the agents built on them.

Agents that run on your Mac can do more than write. Connect one and it can open a page on your second screen, spread your work across every display, or switch Showspace when you ask for it by name.

Agents that run in the cloud, such as GrokBot, go further: point one at a Showspace in Google Drive and it keeps the pages current between visits, so the app is already up to date when you open it — your Mac does not even need to be on. What they cannot do is drive the app, for the same reason.

What drives can I use?

Any folder your Mac can see. Local disk, iCloud Drive, Google Drive, Dropbox, OneDrive — the app opens them all the same way.

Which one suits you comes down to three things: which of your devices need the pages, which AI writes them, and whether anyone else needs to read them. Where to put your Showspace walks through all three — and nothing is permanent, because a Showspace is a folder you can move whenever you like.

Is lite.computer a subscription?

No. You buy it once and it is yours, on every Mac you own. No monthly fee, nothing expires, and no account to make.

What are your plans for the future?

We have quite a few surprises lined up for you for the current app.

An iPhone and iPad version is in build. We are planning an Android version, and a full-featured Windows desktop is in the pipeline.

Will my files be useless if I stop using lite.computer?

No. The folder is an ordinary folder and the pages are HTML files, so they stay yours and stay readable the traditional way — double-click any one of them and it opens in your browser, with no app in the middle.

lite.computer adds one hidden folder for its own notes and your comments, and changes nothing else. Nothing is converted, nothing is locked, and there is no export step because there is nothing to export from. See What a Showspace is.
