The quickest way to check yours is to ask it: “Can you save an HTML file into a folder on my Mac?” If it can save the page in the folder you choose, you can certainly use lite.computer.

Agents that run on your Mac can do more than write. Connect one and it can open a page on your second screen or spread your work across every display.

Agents that run in the cloud, such as Grok Bot, can prepare updates while your Mac is off. The finished pages reach your Showspace through a connected cloud folder or a transfer when your Mac is back on.

• Live pages. The app watches your folder, so pages appear and change as your AI writes them. Nothing to refresh, nothing to import.
• Gallery View shows every page as a thumbnail of itself, for finding a file you can recognize but could not name.
• Explode detects your screens and puts every open tab in its own window, even across connected displays. A desk of monitors becomes a wall of live dashboards.
• Presentation Mode takes a page full screen and steps through it, so you can turn any page into a presentable deck.
• Comments let you mark up a page with instructions for improvement. Mark it up to your heart’s desire, then have your agent read your notes and make the changes all at once.

Any folder your Mac can see: local disk, iCloud Drive, Google Drive, Dropbox, OneDrive. lite.computer works best with cloud drives. They put your pages on all your Macs, and you can share the folder through the drive’s own sharing with people who use lite.computer.

Which one suits you comes down to three things: which of your devices need the pages, which AI writes them, and whether anyone else needs to read them. You can have Showspaces for different jobs on different drives, and move them anytime. See Where to put your Showspace.

Yes, through the drive’s own sharing: Google Drive, Dropbox, OneDrive or iCloud Drive. Anyone with lite.computer adds the folder to their own drive, then opens it as a Showspace. Everyone else receives the files and opens each page in a browser. See Opening a Showspace someone shared with you.

The beauty of lite.computer is that it uses the drive you already have to sync between computers. The app shows new pages the moment they arrive, so how fast that happens depends on your drive.

If something is missing, check the Mac you added it on. Finder shows a small progress icon next to anything still uploading. Once the upload finishes, the page appears on your other Mac as soon as it arrives there.

A MacBook only uploads while it is awake. If you closed the lid, or it went to sleep on battery, the page is saved on that Mac but has not been sent yet. Open the lid, plug it in, and leave it a few minutes. The upload finishes, and the page appears on your other Mac.

A new folder also needs at least one page inside it before it shows in the sidebar.
