The app needs no account and asks for your email once. This website measures its visits.
lite.computer reads only the folder you point it at.
The app sends two things over the network. Your email address, once: the first time it opens it asks for one, and sends it to us so we can email you the setup prompt and a few tips while you get started. If you take the trial extension, the app tells us that too, so we can send one thank-you. And a daily check to our website for a newer version, which includes nothing about you or your files. Updates install only when you click Update in Settings; the new version then downloads from GitHub, where our releases are kept. That is all the app sends; your pages and your folder stay on your Mac or your own cloud drive.
We count visits with Vercel Web Analytics, from our host. For each page view it records the time, the page address, the referring site, your approximate location, and your browser, device and operating system with their versions. On the home, Pricing, Use Cases and business pages it also counts clicks on the download, purchase and free-trial buttons: which button, on which page. On the home and business pages it counts when the film starts and when it plays to the end. It uses no cookies and is not linked to your name, email or IP address. We see totals.
Vercel also keeps standard server logs to serve pages and stop abuse. The site's fonts load from the site itself.
This site can use measurement tools, such as the Google tag and the Meta Pixel, to measure purchases and the results of our advertising and promotions. These use cookies. Each company handles the data under its own privacy policy, including for showing ads.
Where the law requires consent, such as in the European Union and the United Kingdom, these tools load only after you agree. You can change your choice later.

In use now: Vercel Web Analytics. New tools are added to this list before they start.
If you join the waitlist, we keep your email address to confirm your signup and to send one message when the app launches. Resend, our email provider, holds the list and sends these emails.
Checkout and receipts are handled by our merchant of record, named at checkout, under its own privacy policy. It holds your payment details. The pricing page loads its checkout so you can buy there; what you enter in the checkout goes to the merchant of record, not to us. We keep your email address and order number to send your license key, and to send it again if you lose it.
During the trial, a short series: the setup prompt first, then one feature at a time, five emails in all, each saying how many days are left. One thank-you if you take the extension. Then it stops. After you buy, your license key. Emails about your license, security fixes and changes to our terms go to every customer. Tips and news go only to people who ask for them: the last trial email and the license email each offer it. Every tips email says how to stop them. Unsubscribing does not affect your license, your trial, or your use of the app. We share your address only with the services we need to email you, such as our email provider, Resend.
We keep messages sent to support@lite.computer so we can reply.
