How links between pages are found

The app reads the links in your pages so it can tell you which ones point nowhere.

The app reads the links in your pages and keeps track of what points at what, in both directions. That is what lets it report broken links, and lets your agent ask what a page connects to.

It counts an ordinary anchor pointing at another page in the Showspace. Web links are left alone, and links written with escaped characters, such as a space written as %20, are understood.

The app reads the first 64 KB of a page when looking for links. Because house style is to inline images into the page, a page carrying a large image can push its later links past that point. If you are relying on the broken-link report for a heavily illustrated page, it covers the start of the file.
