Using Open Interpreter with lite.computer

Open Interpreter makes a desktop agent for everyday work that crosses apps, files, browser tabs, spreadsheets and PDFs. It can operate other apps by clicking and typing, and it pauses for your approval before it sends, submits, deletes or overwrites anything.

The desktop app is a free download for Apple Silicon and Intel Macs. People in fields like finance, sales, legal and real estate are the audience it is written for.

Set it up

In lite.computer, click your name at the bottom of the sidebar and open the Agent Helper. Copy the paragraph and paste it at the start of each new chat in Interpreter, so it knows where your Showspace is.
When Interpreter asks for a workspace folder, choose your Showspace. Put a copy of any source files you want it to read inside that folder, and the pages it makes land in lite.computer.

Good to know

You can pin several agents, each with its own workspace. One can stay pointed at your Showspace while the others work in different folders.
There is also a terminal version for developers, run as interpreter.
We have not tested Open Interpreter with lite.computer ourselves. These instructions are based on research. Try saving one HTML page to your Showspace first. If a step needs correcting, email hello@lite.computer.
